Contractor Hydro Exploitation SA seeks bids to refurbish anti-corrosion coatings on metalwork on units of the 290-MW Fionnay hydroelectric project, a development of Switzerland's 2,099-MW Cleuson-Dixence hydroelectric complex. Bids are due June 21.
Fionnay is one of four power plants in the hydro complex on the Rhone River. Others are 1,269-MW Bieudron, 150-MW Chandoline, and 390-MW Nendaz. It is operated by Grande Dixence SA, which owns the project with Switzerland's Alpiq Group.
Hydro Exploitation seeks bids to repair anti-corrosion protection of screens and other components of pit turbines at Fionnay. The work is to include stripping deteriorated areas, applying new anti-corrosion paints, and disposal of waste. The work is to begin in May 2014 and be completed in December 2019.
Bidding documents may be obtained until June 19, to be downloaded from the Simap system for European public procurement at http://www.simap.ch/shabforms/servlet/Search?NOTICE_NR=775795. Bids, in French, are due by 4 p.m. June 21.
