Electricite de France (EDF) seeks bids to refurbish and repair a penstock at the 445-MW Pouget hydroelectric project on the Tarn River in France's Aveyron Department. Bids are due August 14.
EDF has an ongoing program of maintenance and refurbishment at its portfolio of 435 hydroelectric projects. In 2008, it called for replacement of governors and excitation systems for 24 sites including Pouget.
EDF issued a similar solicitation in 2011 for the penstock work at Pouget.
The utility seeks dismantling of penstock No. 2, replacement of penstock sections, and rebuilding of supports. Anticorrosion coating is to be applied both inside and outside of the penstock. The penstock is about 1,000 meters long and ranges from 2.5 to 2.7 meters in diameter. The work is to require 30 months.
Tender documents may be obtained until 6 p.m. July 31 from the address below. A site visit may be scheduled by contacting Pascal Rabas, (33) 555181045; E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
