Polish utility Tauron Ekoenergia sp. z.o.o. seeks bids to refurbish the 2.422-MW Bobrowice 1 mini-hydro project on Poland's Bobr River. Bids are due April 30.

Tauron Ekoenergia operates 35 hydroelectric projects totaling 125.739 MW in three provinces of Poland. Bobrowice is one of four sister small hydro projects on the Bobr, including 312-kW Bobrowice 2, 126-kW Bobrowice 3, and 1-MW Bobrowice 4. The utility pre-qualified firms in January to modernize the two turbine-generators of Bobrowice 2.

Tauron Ekoenergia seeks bids to replace two turbines of Bobrowice 1 with 1.52-MW units and to modernize 399-kW Unit 3, a Francis turbine. It also seeks modernization of electrical infrastructure and turbine controls; replacement of generators, a crane, and trash rake; and related construction.

The work is expected to require 24 months with an estimated cost of more than 15 million zlotys (US$4.76 million).

Tender documents may be obtained from the address below. Bids, in Polish, are due by noon April 30 to the address below.
