Merger expands Element's services for hydropower project developers, operators

Element Materials Technology

Element Material Technology -- an international network of laboratories and provider of services to the hydroelectric power industry -- has acquired Sherry Laboratories, the company has announced.

Located in Daleville, Ind., Sherry adds nearly 300 staff, 10 facilities and 6,000 customers to Element's portfolio.

Element's laboratories specialize in materials testing, product qualification evaluation and failure analysis studies for clients in a number of industries.

Regarding hydropower, Element said its services can help hydroelectric operators and utility companies with corrosion issues, weld quality, failure analysis, and destructive and non-destructive testing of materials, parts, components and assemblies.
