Derrick crane repairs sought by U.S. at 980-MW McNary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids to repair derrick cranes at the navigation lock of 980-MW McNary Dam on the Columbia River. Bids are due Dec. 27.

The Corps' Walla Walla District took bids Dec. 4 for submersible cable for barrier screens at McNary, in Umatilla, Ore.

In a solicitation set aside for small businesses, the Corps now seeks bids for repair of derrick cranes at McNary's navigation lock. Work includes all engineering and on-site installation required to repair cracks in the hubs at the heel of the boom on a fixed derrick crane by replacing the hubs.
