U.S. seeks air gap/vibration monitoring gear for 1,076.6-MW Bonneville

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks information on firms able to supply and support air gap/vibration monitoring sensor equipment at 1,076.6-MW Bonneville Lock and Dam, on the Columbia River in Oregon and Washington. Responses are due Dec. 28.

The Corps' Portland District took bids in May for fish ladder improvements to address lamprey passage at Bonneville.

For the purpose of drafting a solicitation, the Corps now seeks information on firms capable of supplying air gap/vibration monitoring equipment for a base year and three option years. Air gap sensors are to be delivered as turbines are taken out of service for regular maintenance.
