The bank seeks consultants under the Russia Renewable Energy Program to assess potential for developing or rehabilitating small hydropower projects in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, a region east of Moscow in western Russia.

The selected consulting firm also is to identify the most promising site for further development and is to recommend additional studies to exploit hydropower in the region, whose capital, Nizhny Novgorod, is located at the confluence of the Volga and Oka rivers.

Expressions of interest are due December 11, in English, electronically via the World Bank's eConsult Internet site, https://wbgeconsult2.worldbank.org/wbgec/index.html. A solicitation notice is available on the website under Business Opportunities, Selection No. 1091646.
