Compagnie Nationale du Rhone (CNR) seeks bids for civil engineering of a fish passage structure and hydropower plant of the 700-kW Sauveterre project on France's Rhone River. Bids are due October 19.
CNR took bids in August for two lots, to equip the hydro plant and to construct the fish passage structure. The hydro operator owns 18 hydro plants on the Rhone ranging from 40 MW to 400 MW and totaling 2,937 MW.
CNR now seeks bids for civil engineering and earthworks for the fish passage structure and, as an option, the hydropower plant, which is to use fish attraction flows to generate electricity. Work is to be performed from June 2013 to December 2015.
