French firm extends civil engineering bids for 700-kW Sauveterre, fishway

Compagnie Nationale du Rhone (CNR) has extended the deadline for bids for civil engineering of a fish passage structure and hydropower plant of the 700-kW Sauveterre project on France's Rhone River. Bids now are due October 26.

CNR previously called for bids by October 19. The firm took bids in August for two lots, to equip the hydro plant and to construct the fish passage structure. The hydro operator owns 18 hydro plants on the Rhone ranging from 40 MW to 400 MW and totaling 2,937 MW.

CNR now seeks bids for civil engineering and earthworks for the fish passage structure and, as an option, the hydropower plant, which is to use fish attraction flows to generate electricity. Work is to be performed from June 2013 to December 2015.

Solicitation documents may be obtained from the address below. Bidders are required to register on the Internet site of CNR parent GDF Suez at https://xe.bravosolution.com/publicNotice/LandingPage.jsp?companyname=sacha&lcid=fr_FR&requestid=r2210390vnvEsg.

Bids, in French, now are due by 2 p.m. October 26 to the address below. For information, contact Mael Leon, Compagnie Nationale du Rhone, 2 rue Andre Bonin, 69316 Lyon, France; (33) 47-2006703; E-mail: m.leon@cnr.tm.fr; Internet: www.cnr.tm.fr.
