Electrical engineer sought for U.S. Corps cost center

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Walla Walla District seeks an electrical engineer to work in the district's National Cost Center of Expertise for Civil Works. Applications are due by Oct. 1.

The Electrical Engineer position is listed as GS-0850-11/12 with a salary range of $57,408 to $89,450.

The position is to plan, direct, coordinate, and prepare cost estimates for the district, which covers Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, and parts of Nevada and Utah. Projects cover plant and equipment for operation of civil works locks and dams, hydroelectric powerhouses, flood control structures, fish hatcheries, recreational developments, public buildings, and hazardous, toxic, and radioactive waste cleanup.

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade. Requirements include a degree in engineering in relevant fields or a combination of education and experience.
