U.S. to seek rehabilitation work at 70-MW Keystone Dam

TULSA, Okla., U.S. 4/12/12 (PennWell) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to take bids to perform civil and mechanical rehabilitation work at 70-MW Keystone Dam in Oklahoma.

The Corps' Tulsa District said it expects to issue a solicitation in April for work at Keystone, on the Arkansas River.

In a set-aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, the Corps plans to seek demolition, removal, and disposal of catwalks and tainter gate hoist equipment platforms, and construction of new catwalks and tainter gate hoist platforms. Other work includes demolition, removal, disposal, and replacement of utility systems including single and three-phase electric, fiber optic, compressed air, and non-potable water systems.

The work is expected to cost between $1 million and $5 million.
