U.S. seeks bids for turbine pumps at 810-MW Lower Granite

WALLA WALLA, Wash., U.S. 4/3/12 (PennWell) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers seeks bids for supply of vertical turbine pumps for the 810-MW Lower Granite hydroelectric project in Washington. Bids are due April 12.
The Corps' Walla Walla District previously announced plans to take bids for the units. The Corps took bids in December for repair of a trash shear boom at Lower Granite.

In a set-aside for small businesses, the Corps seeks two central non-overflow vertical turbine pumps and two navigation lock vertical turbine pumps.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W912EF12Q0050 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
