Iceland utility seeks high-voltage cable for 80-MW Budarhals

REYKJAVIK, Iceland 4/19/12 (PennWell) -- Iceland utility Landsvirkjun seeks bids for high-voltage cables and terminations for the 80-MW Budarhals hydroelectric project. Bids are due May 8.

Landsvirkjun took bids in February to supply transformers for Budarhals, which is under construction on Iceland's Tungnaa and Kaldakvisl rivers. Transmission utility Landsnet took bids in March to construct a substation for Budarhals.

Landsvirkjun now seeks bids for design, furnishing, and installation of high-voltage cables and terminations, involving single-core cables and terminal equipment.

Tender documents may be obtained until 4 p.m. May 7 from the address below for 5,000 kronur (US$39.42).
