Grouting, tunnel paneling sought by U.S. for 250-MW Yellowtail

BILLINGS, Mont., U.S. 2/16/12 (PennWell) -- The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids for grouting and inspection tunnel steel paneling at the 250-MW Yellowtail Dam hydroelectric project on the Big Horn River southeast of Billings. Bids are due Feb. 24.

Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office took bids in 2010 for rehabilitation of the afterbay dam at Yellowtail, one of five hydropower plants in the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin project. 

In a solicitation set aside for small business, the agency seeks a contractor for grouting and for fabrication and furnishing of metalwork for the inspection tunnel at the Yellowtail powerhouse.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R12PS60122 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
