Canadian Dam Association's call for papers still open

SASKATOON, Saskatchewan, Canada 2/9/12 (PennWell) -- The Canadian Dam Association has extended its deadline for submitting abstracts for the CDA 2012 Annual Conference until Feb. 13, 2012.

Topics include:
-- Dam safety and security
-- Dam construction, operation and closure
-- Dam design, analysis and slope stability
-- Tailings dams
-- Dam rehabilitation
-- Impact of environment and climate change
-- Earthquake issues
-- Dam foundations and construction materials for embankment dams
-- Emergency management
-- Advances in surveillance, instrumentation and monitoring programs

Papers relating to other relevant topics and emerging issues will also be considered.

Abstracts of 300 to500 words may be submitted in English or French and should include a short title, the names of the authors and their affiliations. They may be submitted by mail, fax, or e-mail to:

Authors will be notified of their acceptance by Feb. 29 and will have their work made available during the CDA Annual Conference that runs Sept. 22-26, 2012, in Saskatoon.
