U.S. seeks outlet coatings replacement at Dickinson Dam

DICKINSON, N.D., U.S. 11/17/11 (PennWell) -- The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to remove and replace coatings of outlet works pipe at Dickinson Dam on North Dakota's Heart River. Bids are due Dec. 2.

Dickinson Dam, which forms Patterson Lake, is a 62-foot-tall, 2,275-foot-long earthfill structure built in 1950. It provides irrigation, municipal water, flood control, fish and wildlife, and recreation benefits.

Reclamation's Billings, Mont., office seeks bids from small businesses to remove and replace up to 410 square feet of deteriorated coatings on the exterior of a 24-inch steel pipe, metal ladder and two gate valves. The contractor is to build and maintain a containment structure for the work. The work is valued at between $25,000 and $100,000.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering solicitation No. R12PS60025 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.
