Scheidegger named CEO of Siemens Solar & Hydro Division

ERLANGEN, Germany 11/14/11 (PennWell) -- Theodor Scheidegger has been named the new chief executive officer of the Siemens Energy Solar & Hydro Division.

Scheidegger’s appointment, which was effective Nov. 10, comes less than six weeks after the energy conglomerate formed the Solar & Hydro Division. This division also is a center of competence for the development of energy storage technologies.

Formerly, Scheidegger was CEO of Germany-based Sovello AG, a supplier of solar wafers and solar cells and modules. But he began his professional career with Siemens, first in Canada and afterwards in California.
