Ecuador utility seeks bids to equip 10-MW Victoria

QUITO, Ecuador 11/22/11 (PennWell) -- Ecuador utility Empresa Electrica Quito (EEQ) seeks bids to supply electro-mechanical equipment for the 10-MW Victoria hydroelectric project in Ecuador's Napo Province. Bids are due December 7.

EEQ seeks bids to supply two 5.1-MW Pelton turbines, two 5,900-kilovolt-ampere generators, governors, ball-type valves, bypass systems, a bridge crane, transformer, controls and protection, and hydro-mechanical equipment. The work is expected to require 21 months with a budget of US$6.872 million.
