Swiss seek tailrace repairs at 21-MW Martigny-Bourg

Hydro company Hydro Exploitation SA seeks bids for concrete repairs to the tailrace of the 21-MW Martigny-Bourg hydroelectric project at Martigny, Switzerland. Bids are due September 14.

Hydro Exploitation is owned by Swiss energy firms Grande Dixence SA, EOS Holding SA, and GMF Romande Energie Holding SA. It was founded to perform hydroelectric project operation and maintenance.

On behalf of project operator Forces Motrices de Martigny-Bourg, Hydro Exploitation seeks repairs to the tailrace of Martigny-Bourg, built in 1942 and undergoing refurbishment. Work includes construction of concrete lining within the existing tailrace, demolition of part of the channel invert, lowering of its level, and reconstruction in reinforced concrete. The work is to be performed between January and February 2012.

Solicitation documents may be obtained from the address below until August 22. Bids, in French, are due by noon September 14.
