Costa Rica extends SCADA bidding for national power control center

Hydro-rich Costa Rica has extended the deadline for pre-qualification to supply a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system and other equipment for its national power control center. Responses now are due July 28.

National utility Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) previously called for responses by June 28.

ICE intends to pre-qualify contractors to equip a new power control center and to supply equipment for technological upgrade of an existing control center. ICE plans to seek bids from pre-qualified firms in December.
