African Water Facility seeks knowledge management, environmental consultants

The African Water Facility (AWF) invites expressions of interest from consultants to advise on knowledge management and environment and climate changes. Responses to two solicitations are due August 20.

Sponsored by the African Development Bank, the African Water Facility is an initiative to mobilize resources from donors to finance water sector facilitation and investment activities in Africa. AWF recently granted funds to Malawi and Tanzania for the Songwe River Basin Development Program.

In one solicitation, AWF seeks a consultant specializing in knowledge management, which involves areas such as business administration, information systems, management, and information sciences. Working in Tunis, the consultant is to define a knowledge management strategy and action plan for AWF.

Expressions of interest, labeled "Request for Expression of Interest for the Consultancy Services: Long-term individual consultant specialized in knowledge management," are due by 4 p.m. August 20 to the address below.

In a second solicitation, AWF seeks a consultant specializing in environment and climate change to assist AWF in developing a pipeline of water resources projects, programs, and studies. Working in Tunis, the consultant is to ensure environmental safeguards are incorporated in AWF-financed projects and to provide support to address climate change issues.

Expressions of interest, labeled "Request for Expression of Interest for the Consultancy Services: Long-term individual consultant specialized in environment and climate change," are due by 4 p.m. August 20 to the address below.
