Voith Hydro, RusHydro plan hydropower equipment deal

Russian hydropower generator RusHydro and Voith Hydro are entering into a 1 billion euro (US$1.42 billion) deal to jointly produce hydropower equipment, wire services reported.

The companies were considering two production sites, including one in the Saratov region in central Russia, RIA Novosti news services reported.

In other news, RusHydro has signed a memorandum of understanding with an Argentina firm for further development of hydropower in the country.

RusHydro signed a similar MOU with the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation of India.
