U.S. seeks flowmeters for 66.8-MW Fremont Canyon

The Bureau of Reclamation seeks bids to install flowmeters in two penstocks of the 66.8-MW Fremont Canyon hydroelectric project on the North Platte River in Wyoming. Bids are due July 13.

Reclamation previously said it expected to issue the solicitation this month. The agency recently awarded a $3.1 million contract to Voith Hydro to supply two replacement turbine runners for Fremont Canyon. Fremont Canyon and the 38-MW Glendo project form the Glendo Unit of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Project.

Reclamation seeks bids for supply and installation of ultrasonic flowmeters for two penstocks, U1 and U2. The work is valued at $250,000 to $500,000.

A solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. R11PS60222 in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box.

Bids are due July 13. For information, contact Alma Bergerson, Contracting Officer, Bureau of Reclamation, GP-5000, 316 N. 26th St., Billings, MT 59101; (1) 406-247-7801; E-mail: ec_helpdesk@nbc.gov.
