The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to seeks bids from firms to perform planning studies and environmental reports services, primarily in the Corps' Northwestern Division. Solicitations are expected to be issued about May 20, with bids due about July 5.
The Corps' Walla Walla District, which plans to seek the work, took bids in April for design-build construction work mainly in the Snake River Basin of the Pacific Northwest.
The district now has issued two pre-solicitation notices, one seeking work set aside for small businesses and one unrestricted. Work is to include studies for planning authorities for ecosystem restoration, flood risk management, water supply, hydropower, navigation, and recreation.
In both solicitations, the Corps plans to award up to two multiple task order contracts with a base year and four option years. In the small business set-side the contracts would be valued at a maximum of $1 million per year. The unrestricted contracts would be valued at $2 million per year.
Pre-solicitation notices may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering in the "Keyword/Solicitation #" box solicitation No. W912EF11R0005 for the small business set-aside and No. W912EF11R0013 for the unrestricted contracts.
