State utility Electrificacion del Caroni (Edelca) invites expressions of interest from consultants to develop an economic recovery plan for the population affected by construction of the 2,320-MW Manuel Piar hydroelectric project on Venezuela's Caroni River. Responses are due February 4.
Edelca also recruited consultants in January to develop an archaeological research and rescue program for Manuel Piar, the former Tocoma project, which includes a 300-meter-long, 82-meter-tall concrete dam and hydropower station.
Edelca, a unit of nationalized utility holding company Corpoelec, seeks a consultant to design a plan for restoration of economic activities of the permanent population directly affected by the project, taking into account prior work experience, training, skills, attitudes, and expectations of the population.
Expressions of interest, including a summary of qualifications of no more than five pages, are due to the address below by February 4.
