Los Angeles Department of Water And Power picks Brillio for smart grid program

Brillio, a global technology consulting, software, and business solutions company, was selected by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power to execute a strategic smart grid implementation pilot program.

This is one of LADWP's long-term technology initiatives designed to create an intelligent, digital power supply and management network.

The smart grid program will help LADWP optimize energy efficiencies and enhance grid reliability so that all consumers can enjoy the benefits of greater choice and control over their energy usage. By developing an advanced smart grid infrastructure LADWP will be able to generate better insights into energy consumption patterns and help LADWP streamline demand generation and distributed automation, and offer more personalized service to customers.

As part of the pilot, Brillio will enable LADWP with implementation of Smart Grid Operations Center, Customer Sentiment Analysis, Distribution Automation which will result in greater predictability and demand management, proactively identify and prevent outages, improve response time, and drive an efficient data driven approach to operations. It will also offer consumers improved services and products that will allow them to actively manage their energy consumption, utility bills and carbon footprint.
