Areva nuclear reactor design advances in U.S.

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) confirmed that Areva's Aircraft Impact Assessment (AIA) of the U.S. EPR reactor design has completed the agency's inspection, resulting in no violations.

In addition to the certification underway in the U.S., the EPR reactor has been approved by authorities in Finland, France, China and the U.K.
