Atwell buys Peak Power Engineering

Atwell LLC announced June 17 it has acquired Peak Power Engineering Inc. from UnversalPegasus International Inc. Peak Power provides electrical and power engineering solutions for utility scale power generation systems, transmission lines and distribution networks.

Atwell president and CEO Brian Wenzel said the acquisition creates a “one-stop shop” for Atwell’s clients and is a critical element of the company’s long-term growth strategy in the energy markets.

Atwell is now capable of providing power system design and consulting services, including substation engineering, transmission line design, distribution system engineering and industrial power system design, according to Power Engineering.

Denver-based Peak Power, which was founded in 1994, has completed more than 1,500 projects, including more than 450 substations/switchyards, 250 transmission lines and distribution project
