Comverge executive elected to board of Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid

Frank Lacey, Comverge vice president of regulatory and market strategy, has been elected to the board of directors for the Association for Demand Response & Smart Grid.

The association is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C. that focuses on the development and exchange of information among policymakers, utilities, technology companies and other stakeholders.

It includes member companies and organizations, as well as individuals, who work in or are interested in the demand response and smart grid space. Lacey will join the Board with five other newly-elected members, including: Steve Cowell (Conservation Services Group), Gary Fromer (Constellation), Christopher Gillman (Duke Energy), Mike Hyland (American Public Power Association) and Jay Shaver (GE).

"On behalf of all the ADS membership, we are excited to be welcoming these new Board members," said Dan Delurey, executive director of ADS. "This past year has been an important one as ADS has continued to grow and expand, and I'm confident that Lacey will offer a valuable voice on the board as we strive to evangelize the role demand response and the smart grid can play in addressing our nation's energy challenges."

Lacey has 20 years' experience in government relations and regulatory work in the energy industry and is currently responsible for developing and executing regulatory strategy at Comverge. He began his three-year term on the ADS board of directors on January 2, 2013.

"Comverge is dedicated to increasing the role demand response plays as a resource in our energy mix," said Lacey. "I'm honored to be elected to the board of directors for ADS and I look forward to further advocating demand response as a solution to the energy challenges of today."

Comverge has deployed more than five and a half million energy management devices, recruited over one million residential customers into mass market demand response programs and served thousands of commercial & industrial customers.
