Survalent commissions new SCADA system for Ohio cooperative

Survalent Technology commissioned a new Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for North Central Electric Cooperative, Ohio.

North Central Electric Cooperative (NCEC) is one of 24 electric cooperatives in Ohio and serves about 9,800 customers in Crawford, Hancock, Huron, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Wood and Wyandot counties.

A not-for-profit electric cooperative, NCEC is owned and controlled by its members. NCEC maintains about 1,800 miles of underground and overhead power lines as well as 11 substations and one metering point.

The new system features Survalent's open-architecture system based on Windows Server 2008. It includes several of Survalent's open system applications, including: WorldView, SCADA Explorer, Command Sequence, Event Data Recording, IED Wizard and Control Panel, SCADA Add-In, Remote Alarm Annunciation, Master/Slave Alarm Suppression, System Configuration Status, SCADA Replicator, MultiSpeak, WebSurv, and Voltage Reduction.
