Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid names new board members

The Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid (ADS) announced the election of several individuals to its board of directors. ADS is a non-profit organization based in Washington, D.C., that focuses on development and exchange of information among policymakers, utilities, technology companies and other stakeholders.

It includes as members companies and organizations, as well as individuals, who work in or are interested in the demand response and smart grid space.

The new directors are:

·      Steve Cowell (Conservation Services Group)

·      Gary Fromer (Constellation)

·      Christopher Gillman (Duke Energy)

·      Mike Hyland (American Public Power Association)

·      Frank Lacey (Comverge)

·      Jay Shaver (GE)

"On behalf of all the ADS membership, I can say that we are excited to be welcoming these new board members," said Dan Delurey, Executive Director of ADS. "This past year has been an important one as ADS has continued to grow and expand, and I look forward to the contributions of the new directors as we strive to meet the needs of the demand response and smart grid community."

The new directors in 2013 will join existing directors of ADS: Susan Covino (PJM), Dan Delurey (Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid), Ron Dizy (ENBALA), Jeremy Donnell (Pacific Gas & Electric), Steve George (Freeman, Sullivan & Co.), Chris King (eMeter, a Siemens business), Butch Massey (Tennessee Valley Authority), Paul Miles (PECO), Larry Oliva (Southern California Edison), Tim Roughan (National Grid), Colin Smart (Con Edison), and Dan Violette (Navigant Energy Practice).

The Association for Demand Response and Smart Grid (ADS) is a nonprofit organization, originally formed as the Demand Response Coordinating Committee (DRCC) in 2004. ADS is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization consisting of professionals and organizations involved in demand response and smart grid. It provides services to meet the needs of its members that help them in the conduct of their work and in the attainment of their personal, corporate and governmental objectives. ADS seeks to establish and grow a demand response "community" of policymakers, utilities, system operators, technology companies, consumers, and other stakeholders.
