DTE Energy announces senior leadership changes

Detroit, June 25, 2012 — DTE Energy announced promotions and leadership development moves that include Peter Oleksiak being named senior vice president of finance and James Tompkins being named vice president, effective Sept. 1, 2012.

"These leadership changes continue our efforts to create a world-class CFO organization," said David E. Meador, DTE Energy executive vice president and chief financial officer. "Working together, these leaders and their teams are helping to build our reputation as a company with a track record of meeting financial commitments and achieving strong results."

Oleksiak will be responsible for controllers, investor relations, treasury and trading risk management for DTE Energy. Tompkins will assume responsibility for enterprise risk management along with his role as general auditor.

Oleksiak, 46, joined DTE Energy in 1998 and has worked in a number of increasingly responsible financial positions until becoming assistant controller and controller, both in 2005. Prior to DTE Energy, Oleksiak held a variety of financial analyst and supervisory positions with Chrysler Corp.

Tompkins, 56, joined DTE Energy in 2002 as managing director of corporate finance. He became general auditor in 2004. Before joining the company, he was treasurer of Metaldyne Corp. and a certified public accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In other organizational moves, Dan Brudzynski, vice president of regulatory affairs, will assume the position of vice president and treasurer; and Nick Khouri, vice president and treasurer, will assume Brudzynski's position of vice president of regulatory affairs. In his new position, Brudzynski will oversee investor relations.

Donna England, director of technical accounting, also has been appointed chief accounting officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for accounting operations, financial performance excellence and the controller function at DTE Energy's power and industrial and energy trading subsidiaries.
