Association for Demand Response & Smart Grid names new board members

Washington, D.C., March 29, 2012 — The Association for Demand Response & Smart Grid announced newly elected officers for the organization's board of directors.

ADS is a nonprofit organization based in Washington, D.C., that focuses on development and exchange of information among policymakers, utilities, technology companies and other stakeholders. It includes as members companies and organizations, as well as individuals who consider themselves to be demand response and smart grid professionals.

The new officers are:
 
Chairman: Rick Voytas ( Ameren)

Vice Chairman: Larry Oliva (Southern California Edison)

Secretary: Steve George (Freeman, Sullivan & Co.)

Treasurer: Susan Covino (PJM Interconnection)

"On behalf of all the ADS membership, we are excited about the leadership this slate of officers will bring to the organization," said Dan Delurey, Executive Director of ADS. "As we are gearing up for the upcoming national town meeting on Demand Response and Smart Grid, and as we continue to partner with DOE on developing case studies and other informational work projects, I look forward to working with these four individuals to help ADS grow and allow it to continue to meet the needs DR and smart grid practitioners and policymakers across the country."
