Abengoa Chile submits environmental declaration for 110 KV transmission line

Madrid, March 12, 2012 — Abengoa Chile, the local unit of Spanish diversified holding Abengoa, submitted an environmental impact declaration for a 110 kV power transmission line, dubbed Mejillones.

The line will be located in Mejillones municipality, Antofagasta region, transporting energy from the Chacaya power substation of Chilean power company E-CL. Later it will be connected to mining projects in the region.

The environmental declaration will be analyzed until June 1, 2012. If the project gets an environmental permit, it is seen to start in September.
