Sprint teams with Neptune on advanced meters

Overland Park, Kan., September 26, 2011 — Sprint and Neptune Technology Group Inc. are working together to modernize the nation's utility infrastructure.

By combining the Sprint wireless network and machine-to-machine expertise with Neptune's automated metering solutions, these companies are helping utilities collect consumption and diagnostic data.

The companies announced that Neptune's ARB FixedBase Automated Metering Infrastructure and ARB FixedBase Automated Meter Reading systems are now available with Sprint 3G network communications backhaul.

By leveraging the strengths of Neptune's 115+ years of experience and Sprint's reputation among enterprise customers for voice and data services, water utilities will now have access to one of the best AMR/AMI system solutions in the industry.
