New Aggreko finance chief to take over in January

Aggreko has confirmed that its new finance chief will join the company on 3rd January.

Heath Drewett will take over as chief financial officer at the temporary power group from Carole Cran. Cran tendered her resignation in June to take up a similar role at Forth Ports. Drewett was previously group finance director at WS Atkins.

When he was named last month, Aggreko’s chief executive Chris Weston said: “Heath is an experienced CFO and proven leader and I look forward to working with him as we continue to position Aggreko for the future.”

Before joining WS Atkins, Heath spent 12 years at British Airways where he held a number of finance roles including group financial controller and head of business performance.

Last month shares in Aggreko fell by more than 11 per cent after it said it continued to be affected by renegotiated contracts in Argentina.

In an update on its third quarter trading performance, in which it maintained full year forecasts, Aggreko revealed that revenue in its power solutions utility business was down 15 per cent, driven mainly by the issues in Argentina.
