UK heat delivery unit funding opens

The UK Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy’s Heat Networks Delivery Unit has commenced its Round 7 funding, an open fundi Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy ng round set to run until December 2017.

A key part of the BEIS decarbonisation strategy, the unit is aimed at supporting local authorities explore district heat network opportunities.

It combines grant funding with guidance from a dedicated team of commercial and technical specialists with a wealth of experience in developing heat networks. All local authorities in England and Wales can apply for support and this document sets out the Unit’s offering to local authorities and provides all information a local authority would need to bid for it.

According to ADE website, local authorities can apply for grant funding as soon as they and their projects are ready. For details on how to apply, please see the HNDU Round 7: Overview document.
