Sudarshan Chemical commissions cogen plant in Maharashtra

Indian dye and agrochemical manufacturer Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd has commissioned a cogeneration plant at its Roha production facility (pictured) in Maharashtra state.

The company said the 8.24 MW plant will provide 100% of the site’s power and process steam needs, as well as reducing its energy costs by 50%.    

Self-generation of power and steam will enable Sudarshan Chemical to expand its product lines in future, it said in a statement.

The plant will also represent the largest cogeneration plant in Maharashtra’s Konkan industrial region.
