Gensets supply standby power for Turkish data centre

Two diesel-fired gensets are to provide emergency standby power for a data centre serving Turkey’s national telecom firm.

The C2750D5B gensets (pictured) from Cummins Power Generation have been supplied to Türk Telekom along with circuit breakers, a fuel tank, bespoke enclosures and a maintenance contract, Cummins said.

Cummins added that its Turkish branch provided a turnkey solution and fulfilled special requirements for the customer including custom enclosures due to size limitations, site preparation by clearing pillars, stones, metal frames and other impediments and meeting a tight project schedule.

The company said the C2750D5B has achieved a Data Centre Continuous (DCC) rating, meaning it is rated for unlimited hours of operation with no restrictions on the average variable load factor.
