Genset approved for use in New York CHP programme

US-based genset manufacturer FlexEnergy announced this week that its products have been added to the New York State Energy Research & Development Association’s (NYSERDA) Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Programme catalogue.

The programme provides customers in New York state with financial incentives for the installation of packaged CHP modules up to 3 MW, or bespoke systems larger than 1 MW.

FlexEnergy said its Flex Turbine GT333S gas-fired genset (pictured) has now been approved by NYSERDA.

‘We are pleased to have met the requirements necessary for inclusion in the NYSERDA Combined Heat and Power program catalogue,’ said Mark Schnepel, president and CEO of FlexEnergy. ‘From the beginning, our goal has been to manufacture the cleanest and most reliable power generation equipment in the industry.’

FlexEnergy is based in Portsmouth in the state of New Hampshire.
