EuroSite Power teams with Tedom on CHP

UK-based on-site utility provider EuroSite Power and Czech combined heat and power (CHP) firm Tedom have signed an agreement to collaborate on sales within the EU and Turkey.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tedom will offer EuroSite Power’s solutions through its network of over 30 dealers in the region.

Tedom manufactures CHP units (pictured), heat pumps and gas engines, with a global customer base. EuroSite Power, a subsidiary of American DG Energy, finances, installs and maintains CHP systems at customer sites, selling the power and heat to the customer under a 15-year (‘on-site utility’) agreement. The firm says its solution allows customers to benefit from CHP without the usual capital investment or O&M costs.

Paul Hamblyn, EuroSite Power’s managing director, said: ‘We are delighted to have made this agreement with Tedom, whose equipment we have been using over the past couple of years to provide on-site utility solutions to our customers in the UK.'

He added that the deal 'represents a major step that will significantly accelerate our expansion into mainland Europe'.

Miloslav Kužela, Tedom AS’s chief sales officer, said: ‘EuroSite Power has already proven its business model using our CHP units and the collaboration to which we have now agreed allows this approach to be offered by all our European dealers.’
