CHP equipment supply deal for UK

Agricultural enterprise energy supply firm Earthmill has signed a deal to become the exclusive supplier of a biomass gasification combined heat and power system in the UK. Acting on behalf of Arbor Heat and Power, the company suggests a return on investment of less than five years.

There are several sizes of unit available from the Arbor ElectroGen range.

Fuelled by woodchip, the process is more than 88% efficient.

Earthmill managing director Steve Milner said: ‘Farms and businesses with a large heat demand can now get paid to generate their own electricity and heat and have the added benefit of energy security for the future. Pig and poultry farmers with a high heat requirement stand to benefit the most from this kind of technology but it also makes a lot of sense for application on industrial sites and large businesses.’
