NY high rise gets CHP system

Tecogen Inc has announced the sale of a combined heat and power (CHP) system for installation in a multi-story condominium located on Manhattan's West Side in New York City, US.

The building is in the early stages of construction and is expected to be sufficiently completed to accept delivery of the equipment in the second quarter of 2016.

Under the terms of the deal, an InVerde Ultra INV-100 CHP unit rated at 100 kW, along with various factory-assembled, engineered accessories, will be supplied.

Located on the roof of the building, the unit will generate electricity and hot water for the building with an annual retail value of $150,000, its developers claim.
