The district heating network will help developer GMVL comply with a planning requirement to reduce carbon emissions.

Metropolitan director John Marsh told New Civil Engineer website, “There is a growing interest in heat networks for new developments to help deliver the 2016 zero-carbon target. It is exciting when we integrate the heat network with all of the utility networks to deliver a one-stop-shop.”
