Aggreko acquires English critical power provider

Global temporary power specialist, Aggreko, has announced the acquisition of Golden Triangle Generators (GTG), based in Frodsham in the northwest of England. GTG is a leading provider of rental power solutions to customers throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales.

With a substantial fleet of generators and a highly skilled workforce, GTG has established a solid customer base among the utility sector, serve a wide variety of local industries and provide critical power to well-known events and festivals throughout the northwest.
With a customer profile closely matching that of Aggreko, the complementary nature of the two companies is very strong, according to Aggreko MD Dan Ibbetson.

“The northwest is an area identified as a key growth area in our development strategy. The reputation and customer network GTG has built across the region offers Aggreko a solid foundation from which to further develop our business. We will combine the experience, local knowledge and customer relationships of GTG with the global capability and capacity of the world’s leading supplier of rental power and temperature control solutions”.
