Chinese DuPont R&D site gets solar system

The DuPont China R&D Center in Shanghai now features a 210 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system on its roof after an alliance between DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions and Yingli Solar installed the system.

Comprising Yingli’s monocrystalline PANDA modules covering over 2100 square metres, the project is expected to produce 202 MWh annually. Yingli was also responsible for the system’s design, installation, and interconnection.

It is the fourteenth solar installation at a DuPont site to date, collectively producing more than 11 GWh annually.

‘DuPont and Yingli Solar established this project to model how solar power can be most effectively utilized to meet the growing demand for clean and sustainable energy,’ said Chuck Xu, global business director, DuPont Photovoltaic Solutions, adding: ‘The significance of the project transcends its size.’
