California Ford showroom installs on-site solar power

LaSalle Solar Systems has been contracted by Fiesta Ford of the I-10 Auto Mall in Indio, California, US to engineer and construct a 548 kW photovoltaic (PV) canopy system.

Expected to offset the majority of the dealership's electrical load, the system includes more than 2000 solar modules and is expected to produce 792 MWh annually. Fiesta Ford in Indio is one of the highest volume Ford Dealers in Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial Counties, located in the I-10 Auto Mall, the largest auto mall in the Coachella Valley.

The expected completion date of the project is late November.

‘In adopting solar energy Fiesta Ford will benefit with long term cost-savings, while also decreasing their carbon footprint and advocating sustainable solutions,’ said LaSalle president Gary LaSalle.
