Austrian wood panel firm completes plant construction

Egger Group, an Austrian manufacturer of wood-panel products, completed a plant in Romania that will use waste wood to generate power and heat.

The company invested $48m to build the 83 MW plant in Radauti in the country’s northeast, Tyrol-based Egger said in an e-mailed statement.
The facility will use waste wood from Egger’s nearby factory and feed energy back to its production lines.
