Green Leaf Inn signs cogeneration power agreement

A North American hotel is to benefit from cogeneration power after signing a 15 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with a third party owner-operator.

Green Leaf Inn, in the US state of Wisconsin, is set to reap the rewards of onsite cogeneration with no investment in equipment, and an electricity bill 20 per cent below the local utility cost.

The move is also set to reduce their carbon footprint.

A PPA with an onsite energy system allows customers to pay a discounted price for energy usage without having to buy and maintain the entire energy system.
