This seabed site investigation and marine geosciences specialist is making its ROV in-situ electrical resistivity and temperature probe available for hire. It's offered to aid corrosion protection decisions for seabed pipelines.
The probe measures both seabed sediment electrical resistivity and temperature. It returns real-time data to aid corrosion protection decisions.
The latest now-for-hire model comprises probe and a subsea housing. It contains necessary electronics to power the unit and handle data. This allows the unit to be used at 1,500 m. Recovered data are sent back to the surface through the ROV's telemetry system to a dedicated computer terminal, complete with all software required to run the probe and gather data.
